Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Bwindi is a UNESCO-recognised biodiversity hotspot, famous for its thick vegetation, misty hills, and rich birdlife. Walking through this ancient forest feels like stepping into a prehistoric world.

Uganda Equator Stop

Enjoy a stop at the Equator Line, where you can take photos and witness a fun water experiment demonstrating the Earth’s hemispheres.

GORILLA HABITUATION IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL NATIONAL PARK

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala / Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe by a professional English-speaking driver-guide. You will embark on a scenic drive southwest towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

  • Stop at the Uganda Equator for photography and a water experiment
  • Continue to Mbarara Town for lunch
  • Drive through rolling hills and lush countryside to Bwindi

Arrival at the lodge will be in the evening, followed by dinner and an overnight stay near the park.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community Visit

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers at 8:00 AM.

You will be assigned to a small group of a maximum of 8 trekkers and led into the forest to search for a habituated gorilla family. The trek can last between 1 to 6 hours, depending on gorilla movements and terrain.

Once the gorillas are found, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them up close as they feed, play, and interact in their natural environment.

In the afternoon, return to the lodge for rest. Later, enjoy a guided visit to the Batwa community, where you will experience traditional storytelling, dances, and learn about their deep connection to the forest.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Return to Kampala / Entebbe

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and begin the return drive to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport.
