GORILLA HABITUATION IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL NATIONAL PARK

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Airport Pick-Up and Hotel Transfer

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional driver-guide. After a short briefing about your safari, you will be transferred to your pre-booked hotel near Entebbe.

Spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing by the pool or enjoying the calm evening breeze. Dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel prepare you for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Fly to Kisoro – Transfer to Bwindi & Batwa Cultural Visit

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred back to Entebbe International Airport for your domestic flight to Kisoro Airstrip. The flight offers stunning views of Uganda’s landscapes and takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

On arrival at Kisoro, our safari representative will meet you and transfer you to your lodge near the Rushaga sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After check-in and lunch, you will head out for an afternoon Batwa community visit.

Interact with the Batwa people as they share their forest heritage through music, dance, storytelling, and traditional demonstrations. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla Habituation Experience in Rushaga Sector

Wake up early for breakfast and pack your lunch. By 6:00 a.m., you will report to the Rushaga briefing point, where Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers and researchers will guide you through the rules of gorilla habituation.

Accompanied by armed rangers, you will trek deep into the forest to locate a semi-habituated gorilla family. Once found, you will spend up to four hours observing their daily life—feeding, resting, playing, and interacting—while learning about their conservation and behaviour.

After the experience, return to the starting point and transfer back to your lodge. The afternoon is spent at leisure, enjoying the serenity of the forest. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Fly Back to Entebbe – End of Safari

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to Kisoro Airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe.
